The grade 5/6's today stopped to remember the fallen diggers from past wars. Mollie and Stephanie spent a session writing this lovely poem to honour their memory.
Remembrance
Remember the soldier
All trained and ready
Remember the work they did
To save our country
Remember the soldiers
Who helped, but not lived
Now war is over
Thanks to the soldiers
Lest We Forget

What an amazing poem. Congratulations girls on a fine example of passion and sincerity in remembering our lost soldiers.
Remembrance Day is most significant in establishing What Australia is and who we are.
I believe the students at the Lakes demonstrate many of the qualities of our soldiers.
Integrity, mateship and rising to the challenge.
Well Done
I really like your poem girls. My daughter Caitlin always enjoyed writng poetry when she was in secondary school.
Proud of your work ladies.
